Mitch Hedberg in EW

No, I'm not linking, as you have to have some kind of subscription to read most of the story, and no one should subscribe to any magazine that you can finish during a half hour ride on an exercise bike, but they had a nice article on Mitch Hedberg this week.

I saw Mitch a LOT of times down at Acme Comedy Company while he was building his audience and loved his work. It reminded me a lot of Stephen Wright, whose work I adore with witty one-line jokes that play with words and ideas. If you go to the doctor or dentist over the next couple of months, go ahead and read the article as they attempt to recast his life as Kurt Cobain's.

IN CORY!!'S WRITING NEWS:

I'm am back to researching my radio novel, and have set a deadline of July 15th for finishing chapter 6. I am also setting a HARD deadline of October 15th for finishing the novel so that I can work on my NaNoWriMo novel (4th one...I guess I'm committed to that process). So, soon, I'll be blogging how many words I've written, which is just ever so exciting. Almost as exciting as the CornCam.

I also have a review of the graphic novel The Birth Of A Nation on Bartcop-E today. Go there, then e-mail Marty and tell he how much you love me.
